BDC ranks among Top Employers for Canadians Over 40
MONTREAL, Sept. 30 /CNW Telbec/ - The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as one of the 2010 Top Employers for Canadians over 40.
This recognition is the result of a nation-wide competition managed by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers in partnership with The Globe and Mail newspaper. BDC was chosen as one of the ten winners for its initiatives and special programs targeting employees who are established in their careers. BDC programs that support mature employees include career management and flexible work arrangements, as well as comprehensive and flexible benefit and pension plans.
"The Top Employers for Canadians over 40 award reflects BDC's recognition of the value experienced individuals bring to our team and our goal of meeting the needs of Canadian entrepreneurs," says Mary Karamanos, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources at BDC. "We recognize the contribution of mature workers, including retirement-eligible BDC employees who have much to give and share. Our goal is to provide our experienced employees with opportunities that allow them to share their knowledge and skills and to be a part of BDC's ongoing success."
In addition to being chosen as one of the 2010 Top Employers for Canadians over 40, BDC has been selected as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers and as one of the Best Employers for New Canadians.
Published annually since 2001, the Top Employers for Canadians over 40 award focuses on factors of interest to employees in the second half of their careers.
