The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Challenges Canadians to Design Official 2013 Poster

TORONTO, Aug. 28, 2013 /CNW/ - The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the world's largest combined indoor agricultural and equestrian show, has a challenge for Canadians: design the official poster of the 2013 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair poster, reflecting The Royal's Farm, fresh, Fun™ theme.

"The official poster is a long-standing tradition dating back to the first Royal Winter Fair, in 1922. Each year, we've created a poster that represents the fair, but as we continue to evolve, we're looking to Canadians to show us their personal connection to The Royal," said Sandra Banks, Chief Executive Officer, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. "This year marks The Royal's 91st year and, with that, many new additions to our roster of programming. We look forward to seeing the creativity and talents of our Canadian supporters while developing a new piece of Royal history."

The winning poster will serve as cover art for The Royal's commemorative brochure and be available for sale during the fair. The grand prize includes $2,000, four general admission tickets, and a display at The Royal art gallery. Ten runners up will also be awarded two general admission tickets and a display at The Royal art gallery.

As per official contest rules, entries should adhere to the following guidelines:

• Reflect The Royal's theme of Farm, fresh, Fun™
• Submitted by midnight on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at royalpostercompetition.org
• Submitted in a digital format (PDF, JPEG, EPS)
• The original medium for the poster can be digital, photography, painting or illustration
• 18"x24", 100 dpi
• All entrants must be a resident of Canada
• One submission per entrant
