BEACONSFIELD, QC, Oct. 30, 2018 /CNW/ - The City of Beaconsfield is pleased to announce that it signed a seven-year collective agreement with its blue collar workers on October 29. The agreement, negotiated before the current one expires, will remain in effect until December 31, 2025.
"We are very pleased with the agreement reached with our blue collar union, because it is line with the City's financial framework and offers an uninterrupted employment contract to our blue collar employees. I would like to thank and congratulate negotiators on both sides for their excellent work in sealing the deal that guarantees, for each party, a long-lasting labour peace" said Mayor Georges Bourelle.
"Negotiations took place in a spirit of openness and cooperation. A win-win arrangement for the City and its workers, this new agreement promises a calm working environment to the great benefit of Beaconsfield residents. We are happy to ensure uninterrupted service by our workers, the quality of which is greatly appreciated by residents," Mayor Bourelle noted.
