TORONTO, Nov. 27, 2018 /CNW/ - Beanfield Metroconnect celebrates 30 successful years in the Canadian telecommunications business. The 100% Canadian owned and operated company was originally started in 1988. Beanfield, which specializes in fibre Internet, phone and TV service (amongst other services), now employs over 160 employees and offers service in over 700 commercial and residential buildings across Toronto.
For three decades Beanfield has continued to stand out amongst the "big guys" of telecom — as they stand firmly against ambiguous price increases and poor customer service etiquette.
While many telecom companies are primarily profit driven, Beanfield is focused on creating a product and a service that people feel comfortable and secure with upfront. Co-founders Dan Armstrong, CEO, and Chris Amendola, President and Chief Strategy Officer, have gained public trust and satisfaction through strategies and core principles that put clients, first. When they started the company, they knew they wanted to do things differently. They weren't going to be like the competition.
"Most businesses hit a crossroad at some point, when they're faced with a big decision that can alter their company entirely," says Dan Armstrong, "that came for me when the small ISPs started lobbying to piggyback off the big telecoms to resell their services. Many small telecom companies went the resale route – but not us."
Beanfield has remained independent, ethical and innovative for three decades. The company is consistently seeking new ways to grow and evolve with the times, while seeking new points of difference from the competition.
"We wanted to humanize telecommunications," says Chris Amendola, "people are so used to gimmicks, downright trickery and robots when dealing with their providers. People aren't used to a telecom company that isn't just in it for consumer's money. We want to be fair and provide our customers with a genuine, seamless experience."
Beanfield is making strides not only for their own customer base, but for the city of Toronto as well. With continuous efforts to increase their corporate social responsibility in the GTA, Beanfield supports local schools, charities, community events, and continues to invest in finding new ways to have a positive impact on the environment and the city in general.
As Beanfield continues to grow throughout Toronto, they will always make their exceptional product and dedication to their customers and community, their focal point.
