HALIFAX, Sept. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - Bell Aliant (TSX: BA) is investing $2.75 million to bring its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services to 5,600 homes and businesses in Gander, Newfoundland later this month. The future-proof network delivers Atlantic Canada's fastest Internet and amazing TV right to customers' homes.

In Newfoundland, FibreOPTM is currently available in St. John's and Mount Pearl with builds recently announced in Corner Brook and Grand Falls-Windsor. In 2012, Bell Aliant has also announced builds in Edmundston, Grand Falls, Woodstock, Sussex, Hampton and Campbellton in New Brunswick; Yarmouth, Bridgewater, Antigonish and Digby in Nova Scotia; and Sudbury in Ontario.
