VANCOUVER, May 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Bell Copper Corporation ("Bell Copper" or the "Company") (TSX-V Symbol: BCU) is pleased to introduce Mr. Richard Ternieden to the Board of Directors of Bell Copper. Mr. Ternieden has worked in the investment banking industry since 1985, initially with BMO Nesbitt Burns and then as a Managing Director with RBC Capital Markets for the last 15 years. He specialized in providing corporate finance underwriting and advisory services and solutions to most of Canada's top 100 corporations and a few US and international companies. His products and services included: corporate bonds; securitization; tax-based leasing; risk management; corporate banking; commercial paper; indenture modifications; structured finance; credit research; and, the financing and credit implications of mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Ternieden has a BSc degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and a MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Richard is also a Certified General Accountant and a Certified Financial Analyst.
The Company further announces that Mr. Brian Leeners has resigned as Director of the Company.
Subject to regulatory approval, the Company will grant a total of 500,000 stock options to various consultants and directors, exercisable at $0.35 for a period of five (5) years from the date of granting.
