TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2018 /CNW/ - Bell Media Sales has launched a multi-faceted campaign with Warner Bros. Pictures Canada that stretches across several broadcast, digital, and social properties for the highly anticipated theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The campaign, which launched earlier this month, will continue through the film's worldwide theatrical release on Nov. 16.
The campaign includes an exciting Facebook Live event on Nov. 8, hosted by Lainey Lui, from CTV's THE SOCIAL and ETALK. The interactive game show will leverage Facebook's new live-polling feature to engage real-time viewers like never before. Users can play along on Facebook wherever they are – in the live studio audience, at home on their computers, or on-the-go on their phones.
Lainey, a wizarding-world super fan, will challenge viewers and THE SOCIAL's digital correspondent, Jess Allen, with trivia from the first and second installments of Fantastic Beasts, as well as the Harry Potter franchise. In the end, one lucky participant will walk away with a fantastic prize package. THE SOCIAL's Fantastic Trivia Showdown streams live on Facebook tomorrow, Nov. 8 shortly after 2 p.m. ET, immediately following the live broadcast of THE SOCIAL on CTV.
The Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald campaign will roll out across additional Bell Media properties including:
- Fantastic Friday themed episodes that include in-show segments on ETALK, and billboards on YOUR MORNING, THE SOCIAL, and THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW.

- Wizarding Week: ETALK and YOUR MORNING will air daily segments throughout the opening week of the film.
- Explore the Wizarding World: ETALK.ca will host a custom multimedia hub that brings together Bell Media Studio's in-show coverage and further celebrates the fantastic franchise through behind-the-scenes exclusives, cast interviews, the latest movie news, and more.

About Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Warner Bros. Pictures' "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" is the second of five all new adventures in the Wizarding World™ created by J.K. Rowling.
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, Poppy Corby-Tuech, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp.
"Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram. Tim Lewis, Neil Blair, Rick Senat and Danny Cohen serve as executive producers.
Opening on November 16, 2018, "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures.
