TORONTO, Jan. 14, 2013 /CNW/ - For the second year in a row, Bell Media opens the page on a new year in the Top Five online video properties in Canada, second only to Google (YouTube) in Canada for online videos viewed. Among key Canadian media companies in 2012*, Bell Media remains the #1 visited video entity, and viewers spend more time watching videos on Bell Media sites than on all key competitor sites combined.
"The numbers we're seeing from the past year show the strength of programming and content offered across Bell Media sites," said Steven Bickley, Executive Vice-President, Marketing and Business Development. "Bell Media is the clear leader in premium video content - full episodes, news, sport, live concerts and more - and we continue to gain momentum with our video audience."
Bell Media also leads in Unique Visitors among media competitors, with sites welcoming an average of over 14.5 million visitors each month in 2012. Unique Visitors increased in 2012 for CTV, E! Online Canada, and Bravo. Bell Media is the seventh overall property in Canada for Unique Visitors, the highest ranking out of the key competitors.
