TORONTO, April 10, 2017 /CNW/ - Bell Media extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Guy O'Sullivan, President and Founder of Proper Television. O'Sullivan was a friend and valued partner to Bell Media as the Executive Producer of many hit original Canadian series for CTV and Discovery.
"Guy's passing is a tragic loss to Canada's production community, and everyone here at Bell Media," said Randy Lennox, President, Bell Media. "Guy was an incredibly bright, charming, generous, and well-loved friend to all who knew and worked with him. In addition to his work on CTV's MASTERCHEF CANADA projects, he helmed many of Discovery's success stories for the last dozen years – more than half of the network's history – developing personal friendships along the way. His work has made an indelible impact, and he will be dearly missed."
Led by O'Sullivan, Proper Television is responsible for many of Bell Media's original Canadian hit programs for the last several years, including current series MASTERCHEF CANADA for CTV and CANADA'S WORST DRIVER, LAST STOP GARAGE, TOUGHER THAN IT LOOKS?, and VEGAS RAT RODS for Discovery. Past projects for CTV include format original specials MASTERCHEF CANADA: A HOLIDAY SPECIAL and MASTERCHEF CANADA: ALL-STAR FAMILY EDITION, and for Discovery: BLOOD, SWEAT & TOOLS, CANADA'S WORST HANDYMAN, DON'T DRIVE HERE, INVENTIONS THAT SHOOK THE WORLD, JUNK RAIDERS, LAST CAR STANDING, PRANK SCIENCE, and THE REAL SUPERHUMANS.
