CANNES, Oct. 18, 2017 /CNW/ - Bell Media Studios and Motion Content Group confirmed from MIPCOM today that production is underway on their first two series, DOG TALES RESCUE and WHERE TO I DO?. The two new productions are a result of the recent announcement of a strategic development and production partnership to create a slate of original programs for international markets.
"We're delighted to kick off our partnership with Motion Content Group with two incredibly engaging projects," said Nanci MacLean, Vice-President and Head, Bell Media Studios. "Through this partnership and these inaugural productions we are actively delivering on our mandate, to develop, finance, and produce new programming for international distribution.
Tony Moulsdale, Global Director of Programming, Motion Content Group said "Our partnership with Bell is a collaboration that starts with finding shows that work for their channels. A new take on weddings in WHERE TO I DO? and great stories in DOG TALES RESCUE do exactly that."
DOG TALES RESCUE follows the trials and tribulations of Dog Tales Rescue and Horse Sanctuary as they operate and continue to expand their one-of-a-kind animal rescue in King City, Ontario, Canada. Co-founders and married couple Danielle and Rob take in sick, elderly, and abused souls and provide them with a beautiful home-like environment to rehabilitate until they are adopted out into their forever homes.
Driven by passion and a genuine desire to create a better world for rescue animals, they depend on their dedicated and experienced staff of 50, and a network of volunteers and professionals to help them provide the best care possible. The sanctuary regularly plays home to more than 100 dogs, 80 horses, as well as numerous pigs, cows, donkeys, and more.
This heart-warming series takes an eye-opening look at animals in need and how much hard work, commitment, sacrifice and hope it takes to run a world-class animal rescue. Stories will reflect the grit, not only of Danielle, Rob, and their staff, but also of the animals, as they work through harrowing and seemingly impossible challenges in search of happy endings.

In WHERE TO I DO?, Tommy Smythe, one of Canada's most-loved designers, is helping couples create their dream wedding by hunting down and dressing up their perfect wedding venue. One of the biggest decisions for the soon-to-be married couple is the location of their "I Dos", and WHERE TO I DO? follows the emotional journey of a couple on the hunt for the perfect wedding.
At the start of each episode, host and design expert Tommy Smythe takes the couple through their list of venue 'must-haves'. Tommy then takes the couple on a tour of three completely unique spaces based on the couple's wishes and budget. Using state-of-the-art 3D graphics, he'll demonstrate to the couple each venue's potential by creating beautifully decorated spaces from a bare room with a touch of a button. Whether it's a fairy-tale palace, a glamourous barn in the country or a chic city rooftop, Tommy is sure to have his hands full as he helps the couples weigh the pros and cons of each venue and help them lock down the key details for their dream day.
WHERE TO I DO? is a co-production between Motion Content Group and Bell Media Studios. Jennifer Couke and Michelle Crespi are Executive Producers for Bell Media; Martin Oxley is Executive Producer for Motion.
