Yet another popular Canadian destination where Bell has cut the cost of wireless voice and data roaming for consumers
MONTREAL, June 3, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Bell today announced it has reduced the cost of mobile roaming in South Korea, the latest international destination where Bell customers pay less for wireless voice and data.
"As smartphones have become an essential travel companion, Bell has worked with our international suppliers to lower roaming costs for Canadian consumers travelling worldwide," said Wade Oosterman, President of Bell Mobility. "We're proud to add South Korea to the fast-growing list of countries where Bell has significantly reduced the cost of both data and voice roaming."
Bell's South Korea roaming rate reductions follow similar decreases over the last year for the United States, Europe, China, Japan, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, Bermuda, Cuba and other Caribbean destinations. For more about Bell mobile roaming, please visit Bell.ca/Travel.
For customers visiting South Korea, Bell offers Travel Data Passes that cut the cost of both data and voice roaming. For $30, travelers now get 50 Megabytes (MB) of Internet and other data access, compared to the previous price of $40 for 20 MB, while the enhanced $100 Travel Data Pass now includes 200 MB, up from 50 MB previously. Travel Data Passes offer usage monitoring and alerts, and can be purchased before or during travel with the Bell Mobility self-serve app.
For local and long distance voice calling day or night, a new $30 package offers 60 voice minutes (previously $40 for 50 minutes) while the enhanced $45 voice and text bundle provides 60 minutes of voice, unlimited incoming texts and 200 sent messages (previously $60 for 50 minutes and 200 sent messages). Pay per use calling is also reduced, from $3 to $2 per minute, including for calls back to Canada,
