MONTREAL, July 7, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - With support for the Red Cross and on-site communications, Bell is assisting the people of Lac˗Mégantic following the train disaster of early Saturday:
- Bell has donated $25,000 to support Red Cross relief efforts in Lac-Mégantic, which is about 200 kilometres east of Montréal. All mobile phone users across Canada can also donate $5 to the Red Cross to support relief efforts by texting ROUGE or REDCROSS to 30333.

- The Bell team would like to thank our field technicians, network staff and emergency management team for undertaking emergency support and maintaining operations at the local Bell Central Office.
