Benecaid announces new additions to their Board of Directors

TORONTO, July 24, 2012 /CNW/ - Benecaid Health Benefit Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce the following additions to their Board of Directors.

Kevin Scholtman

Kevin is an owner and Executive Officer of CAI Insurance Agency Inc. in Cincinnati, OH. He serves as the Director of CAI's healthcare administrative services division - Benovation. During his tenure as director of Benovation, Kevin has initiated a comprehensive effort to increase operational efficiencies via effective utilization of technology. Previously, Kevin worked as a Commercial Underwriting Trainee for CAN (a multi-national insurer based in Chicago, IL), as well as Director of Information Technology, Manager of Business Insurance Marketing, and Professional Liability specialist during his 10 years with CAI. Kevin is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and holds a BS of Finance from Indiana University. He is a member of the Society of Professional Benefits Administrators (SPBA) and Healthcare Administrators Association (HCAA).

Garth Thomas

Garth is the Executive Publisher, Rogers Publishing and is responsible for the Advisor, Financial Services and Profit Group titles. Working in financial services publishing since 1999, Garth has extensive knowledge in the retail advisor market, the pension and benefit industry and the small business market. Throughout his career at Rogers Publishing he has won numerous award for developing innovative products and marketing solutions for companies through the use of print, online and event media.

Garth has his B.Sc degree from Trent University in Sociology/Economics and a post-graduate Marketing degree from Humber College.

John Walker

John is a Partner at Walker Sorensen LLP, a specialty law practice in Toronto. Until 2004, John was a Partner in the Financial Services Group of McCarthy, Tetrault LLP. John brings extensive experience in Canadian Insurance Law, Licensing, and Risk Management. He holds a  BA and LLB from the University of Toronto and current serves on the Board of Directors for Genworth Financial Mortgage Insurance Company Canada.
