Free public event showcases the latest in fashion and function
TORONTO, Aug. 25, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, Best Buy Canada will transform Yonge-Dundas Square for the second annual Life & Wearable Tech Expo & Fashion Show, to offer the public an interactive look at the latest in wearable technology and its growing bond with fashion.
Throughout the day, guests will enjoy hands-on experiences from over 20 of today's most in-demand wearable technology exhibitors, showcasing everything from health and fitness, connected toys, smartwatches, wearable audio, and virtual reality. Underpinning its connection with fashion, the free event culminates in an electrifying Life & Wearable Tech Fashion Show, co-hosted by tech and wearables expert Tom Emrich, and style maven, Afiya Francisco.
Wearable Tech Fashion Show:
As the grand finale, The Best Buy Life & Wearable Tech Fashion Show will feature the trendiest wearable technology products on the market alongside some of the season's hottest looks, curated by notable fashion show producer Hans Koechling. Models will strut their stuff on the runway, sporting the latest wearable tech and stylish outfits perfect for the upcoming fall fashion season.
Dazzling Demonstrations and Enticing Exhibits:
The event will also feature live, on-stage demonstrations from Muse, Fossil, HomidoVR, Osmo, MergeVR, Samsung, Noon VR, and LG, showcasing a variety of products available exclusively at Best Buy in Canada.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience interactive vendor activations, offering the public a chance to get hands-on with the latest products from some of their favorite brands. Even the younger techies will be covered, as kids are sure to enjoy the "Tech Toy Zone" where vendors Spin Master, Wowwee, and Sphero will showcase the latest in high tech toys.
