Best Buy Canada hosts Tech it Away Electronics Recycling Event

On May 25, bring unwanted electronics to the Saskatoon Best Buy for safe and responsible recycling

• Best Buy Canada is hosting its fifth year of Tech it Away recycling events on Saturday, May 25 at the Saskatoon Best Buy store.
• Contests held at the store for the chance to win a $500 Best Buy Gift Card

BURNABY, BC, May 14, 2013 /CNW/ - Best Buy is teaming up with the Saskatoon Best Buy store to help collect and recycle the several pounds of electronic waste that are accumulated in Canadian homes each year. Local residents are encouraged to drop off their used or unwanted personal electronics for free and safe recycling at the Saskatoon Best Buy store during the Tech it Away event. Everyone who drops off electronics to be recycled will be entered for a chance to win a $500 Best Buy gift card. One gift card is available to be won.

This is the fifth year that Best Buy has hosted the Tech it Away recycling events in communities across Canada and as a result of these events, has collected more than 100 tonnes of e-waste.

Best Buy stores across Canada are expanding the electronics recycling program year-round through the Return To Retail Program. Customers are now able to bring in their electronic waste to any store in BC, Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec at any time during the year for safe recycling.

WHAT:

• Best Buy is hosting an E-recycling event at the Saskatoon Best Buy to collect old electronics
