Best Buy Canada hosts Tech it Away Electronics Recycling Event

BURNABY, BC, May 14, 2013 /CNW/ - Best Buy is teaming up with the Regina Best Buy store to help collect and recycle the several pounds of electronic waste that are accumulated in Canadian homes each year. Local residents are encouraged to drop off their used or unwanted personal electronics for free and safe recycling at the Regina Best Buy store for the Tech it Away event. Everyone who drops off electronics to be recycled will be entered for a chance to win a $500 Best Buy gift card. One gift card is available to be won.
This is the fifth year that Best Buy has hosted the Tech it Away recycling events in communities across Canada and as a result of these events, has collected more than 100 tonnes of e-waste.
Best Buy stores across Canada are expanding the electronics recycling program year-round through the Return To Retail Program. Customers are now able to bring in their electronic waste to any store in BC, Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec at any time during the year for safe recycling.

- Best Buy is hosting an E-recycling event at the Regina Best Buy store to collect old electronics
