Best Buy Canada teams up with Giant Tiger and expands self-serve kiosk program into stores

Announcement Highlights:

• Best Buy Canada launches two Best Buy Express vending machines and six DVD Kiosks at select Giant Tiger locations
• Best Buy Express offers more than 60 different product skus including headphones, MP3 players, iPods and more at prices consistent with in-store and online pricing and promotions
• There are now a total of 10 Best Buy Express vending machines and 167 DVD Kiosks in market across Canada

BURNABY, BC, Aug. 9, 2012 /CNW/ - Best Buy, Canada's fastest growing retailer and e-tailer of consumer electronics is teaming up with Giant Tiger to offer its self-serve DVD kiosks and Best Buy Express vending machines at select Giant Tiger locations.

Best Buy Express vending machines offer more than 60 product skus including headphones, chargers, MP3 players, iPods, travel adaptors and more. These kiosks are now in place in Giant Tiger stores located at 2480 Walkley Road and 2950 Bank Street in Ottawa.

The DVD Rental Kiosk offers an easy and efficient way of renting and purchasing new releases in DVD and Blu-ray formats conveniently and at low prices - one night rentals at $1.50 for DVDs and $2.00 for Blu-rays.  This kiosk offers up to 500 selections which vary monthly. These kiosks are in place in Giant Tiger stores located at 2480 Walkley Road and 2950 Bank Street in Ottawa;  29 Chambers Street in Smiths Falls;  900 Watters Road in Orleans;  3200 Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga and at 930 Dundas Street in Woodstock.

All Best Buy Express prices are consistent with in-store and online pricing and promotions.
