Best Buy's Tech it Away program aims to recycle more than 150,000 pounds of E-waste
Events hosted on May 26 in nine communities across Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto

Announcement Highlights:
- Best Buy Canada is hosting Tech it Away events on Saturday, May 26 at Best Buy store locations in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto
- One-day event aims to recycle more than 150,000 pounds of E-waste
- Contests held at each location for the chance to win a $1,000 Best Buy Gift Card
- Since its inception in 2009, the Tech it Away program has helped keep more than 100 tonnes of E-waste out of landfills
Best Buy is teaming up with nine stores in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto to help collect and recycle the several pounds of electronic waste that are accumulated in Canadian homes each year. Local residents are encouraged to drop off their used or unwanted personal electronics for free and safe recycling at one of the participating stores for Best Buy's Tech it Away event. Everyone who drops off electronics to be recycled at any of the participating store locations will be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 Best Buy gift card. One gift card is available to be won at each of the nine stores.
WHAT:
- Best Buy is hosting E-recycling events at store locations in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto to collect old electronics
