- Year-to-date sales of 23,915 units on track for fifth consecutive annual sales record in 2016.
- Highest June on record for Subaru WRX STI, Outback, Crosstrek and Forester.
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 4, 2016 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce record-breaking June results with 4,795 units retailed, representing an increase of 10.7 percent. Year to date, the Japanese automaker is up 1.9% with 23,915 units sold as the first half of the year comes to a close. With its highest first and second quarter ever, Subaru Canada is enjoying steady growth and on pace to set a new annual sales record for 2016, which would be the fifth consecutive milestone for the brand.
Subaru's performance sedan, the WRX STI, celebrated its best June ever with a skyrocketing 54.4 percent increase as 366 units were sold this past month. The Outback, Subaru's SUV alternative, experienced 37.0 percent growth in June with 1,152 units retailed. The Subaru Crosstrek also proved it's up for it with an increase of 17.8 percent, moving 886 units in June. Subaru's volume model, the Forester, also steadily increased sales with growth of 0.3 percent and 1,268 units sold.
