LANGLEY, BC, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Bevo Agro Inc. (BVO:TSX-V) announces plans for a five acre expansion to its Langley, BC propagation facility. The total costs are estimated at $4.2 million which Bevo anticipates will be financed through a combination of new debt and internal resources. Previous plant additions included an eleven acre expansion which was completed in 2004 and an 11.5 acre facility completed in phases during 2000 and 2001.
Bevo's expansions are driven by increasing customer demands for quality, disease free propagated vegetable and flower seedlings. Existing customers are increasing orders as they expand and require more Bevo propagated seedlings. Bevo's order book projects the additional acreage will be fully utilized upon completion in January 2012.
Bevo Agro is North America's leading supplier of propagated agricultural plants, growing and distributing vegetable, flower, berry and other plant seedlings to North America's growers. Bevo propagates quality seedlings and plants for wholesale vegetable greenhouse growers, field growers and nursery operators from its 34 acre production facility.
