Bevo Agro Inc. Announces Ownership in Cubic Farm Systems Corp.
LANGLEY, BC, July 15, 2016 /CNW/ - Bevo Agro Inc. (BVO:TSXV) announces the recent establishment of a subsidiary company called CubicFarm Systems Corp. and it's 54% ownership.
CubicFarm Systems Corp. will be using Bevo Agro's patent pending Cubic Farming technology, developed through research at and by Bevo Agro staff over the past four years, which makes it possible for anyone to be a cubic farmer. The Cubic Farming™ machines can grow a large variety of leafy greens like lettuce, herbs and micro greens. They produce all year round—no matter the season or weather conditions, using Controlled Environment Agriculture technologies.
The growing machines use a unique conveyor method with LED lighting, climate controls and an automated nutrient delivery process. The machines are self contained within a 40 foot container or frame mounted for warehouse applications. Each machine is capable of producing up to 5,000 heads of lettuce each month. The first contract for 14 machines to be installed has been confirmed.
Bevo Agro is North America's leading supplier of propagated agricultural plants, operating 45 acres of greenhouse facilities on 98 acres of land in Langley, BC and 20 acres of land in Pitt Meadows, BC.
