Bianca Gervais Partners With Chefs Plate, Meal Kit Leader Launches Quebec's Only 15-Minute Meal Kit Français
MONTREAL, Jan. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - Chefs Plate, the fastest-growing meal kit delivery company in Quebec, officially partners with top Quebec actress, TV host, and busy mom, Bianca Gervais. To keep pace with busy consumers like Gervais, the company is also launching Quebec's only 15-minute meal kit.
"Since launching in Quebec last year, we heard over and over again that the biggest thing Quebecers wanted was to cut down on meal preparation time," said Jamie Shea, Chefs Plate CEO and Co-Founder. "We're thrilled to launch the country's first-ever 15-minute meal kit plan in Quebec and delighted that Bianca Gervais will share her personal experiences with Chefs Plate with her fans."
Chefs Plate's new meal kit includes restaurant-worthy recipes that have been carefully designed by the company's culinary team to be prepared in 15 minutes or less with pre-portioned ingredients such as freshly cut and washed vegetables, and some pre-seasoned and marinated ingredients and prepared sauces. The new 15-minute recipes are available through Chefs Plate's 2-person and family plans menus weekly.
"Chefs Plate is fresh, it's good, it's delivered at home, it's surprisingly simple to make, and it saves me time. I don't know about you, but that speaks volumes to me. I recognize myself in that," said Bianca Gervais. "It is therefore with great pleasure that I join Chefs Plate in hopes of introducing you to this clever company, skillfully coming to the rescue."
Bianca Gervais and Chefs Plate will celebrate "bonne bouffe à la rescousse." It's all about giving Quebecers peace of mind when it comes to dinner while still being able to cook with fresh ingredients and delicious recipes. Chefs Plate will be developing unique content to engage Quebecers on how convenient, delicious and fun it can be to cook at home. The new content will be featured on chefsplate.com's French language site and Gervais's social channels.
Chefs Plate takes a 'local first' approach and is dedicated to building its supplier network in Quebec. Currently, the company works with several local companies to procure an assortment of high quality, fresh produce. As well, Chefs Plate's shipment boxes are produced by Kingsey Falls, Quebec-based Cascades --- the largest recycled paper collector in Canada and a leader in the production and conversion of corrugated products, tissue paper and specialty products. Chefs Plate ships 450,000 meal kits across the country each month.
Food service market research company NPD Group suggests 75 per cent of all meals are typically prepared in 15 minutes or less as Canadians rely on more shortcuts in the kitchen. As well, NPD's Eating Patterns in Canada study found the majority of those in Quebec think it's important to eat full and regular means each day.
Chefs Plate 15-minute recipe options for order now for delivery the week of Feb. 5 to 11 include Honey Garlic Chicken with snap peas and bok choy over steamed brown rice and Three Cheese Penne with roasted red peppers, spinach and fresh pasta.
While the new 15-minute meal kit offering is available in Quebec, Chefs Plate 30-minute meal kits are available nationally.
