TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - When it comes to dominating the Canadian television landscape, no other network owns more Tuesday night real estate than Global, which won all three primetime hours with 2+ and Adults 18-49. With its strangle hold on the night, Global locked in the top three shows with NCIS (#1) and NCIS:LA (#2) both attracting 2.4 million viewers. Vegas proved it's a sure bet with 1.6 million viewers, keeping it in the number three position for the night (2+, Nat).
The network's primetime average once again beat out its competitors: Global outperformed CTV by 31%; almost tripled CTV2; and more than tripled Citytv (A18-49, Nat).
Vegas generated some big buzz yesterday when it and the #1 new Series, Elementary, both received full season pick-ups. So TV fans can look forward to seeing plenty more of Elementary's Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu along with Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis on Vegas.
Viewers who missed last night's NCIS, NCIS: LA and Vegas can catch up on GlobalTV.com, on their Global Video App, available from the App Store on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, or on demand through cable and satellite providers across the country.
