TORONTO, June 26, 2014 /CNW/ - Global brought down the house Wednesday night with part one of the two-part Season 16 premiere of Big Brother. 1.2 million viewers were on lockdown as the treehouse-themed BB house was unveiled along with eight of the 16 contestants aptly titled the "Crazy Eights." Evicting its competitors, Big Brother won the night across all key demos.
With no shortage of twists and turns out of the gate, the season premiere exposed two big game changers: the introduction of two Heads of Household (with one left standing each week), and "Team America," a new interactive component that allows viewers to vote online for their dream alliance. Also lighting up the twittersphere is international superstar Ariana Grande's brother Frankie who joined this season's cast.
Part two of the Season 16 premiere airs tonight at 10pm ET/PT on Global.
