Bikes for Kids' 2018 campaign raises hundreds of new bicycles for Canadian children
VANCOUVER, Dec. 13, 2018 /CNW/ - Bikes for Kids, Dominion Lending Centres' flagship holiday philanthropy program has raised more than 500 bikes in its fifth year, after the national campaign came to a close at the annual Christmas Wish Breakfast at Vancouver's Pan Pacific Hotel.
Started in 2014, the campaign has raised more than 7,000 bicycles, helmets and locks since its inception, for children across the country. This year's campaign ran celebration events across the country in early December.
Gary Mauris, President and CEO of Dominion Lending Centres says: "A special thanks to our network of more than 2,700 mortgage professionals and our amazing industry partners for all their donations. Without your support, we could not put smiles on the faces of all these kids every year."
Thanks to partners like Canadian Tire, AMJ Campbell, CORUS Entertainment and Runners Crafted Bikes and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, bicycles will be delivered to children in need in time for Christmas morning.
