BILD Associate Awards winners announced

TORONTO , Dec. 11 /CNW/ - The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) is delighted to announce this year's Associate Awards recipients for Service/Professional, Trade Contractor and Manufacturer / Supplier of the Year.

These Awards are handed out at the Association's Annual General Meeting at the end of each year in order to recognize companies who are highly rated by their homebuilder clients for quality and service as partners in the building process.

This year, Colours & Concepts took home the Service/Professional of the Year award for their outstanding work helping builders through the sale of upgrades since 1994. As one of their clients mentioned, "they have gone out of their way to ensure we have been well serviced. They have stepped up and seamlessly taken on additional tasks due to some unforeseen circumstances with our staff. They have been a pleasure to work with and have been a major asset to this project."

The 2009 Trade Contractor of the Year award went to Eurowood Carpentry 2000 Inc., one of the largest independent framing contractors servicing residential builders and commercial clients in the GTA for over 20 years. One of their clients describes them as a "very reliable and professional company to deal with. It has been a pleasure working with them."

Last, but certainly not least, the Manufacturer / Supplier of the Year was awarded to Olympia Tile & Stone. No stranger to the industry, the company has been around for over 50 years, currently employing over 900 staff members while occupying a total of over 3.5 million square feet of warehousing. "Olympia Tile has always been ahead of the game in this industry. They have been a great help with their service and promptness at addressing our concerns," said a dedicated client.

"The common denominator with each of these companies is professionalism, teamwork and reliability," said BILD President and CEO Stephen Dupuis . "The homebuilding process involves so many different people and processes along the way, that no builder can possibly succeed without excellent relationships with their suppliers, trades and professionals."

With more than 1,300 members, BILD, formed through the merger of the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association and Urban Development Institute/Ontario, is the voice of the land development, home building and professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area.
