BILD reveals Associate Awards winners

GREATER TORONTO, Dec. 5, 2012 /CNW/ - The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) announced the recipients of the 2012 Associate Awards today at its Annual General Meeting.

The Associate Awards were created in 2004 to recognize BILD's associate members, who work in the service, contracting, manufacturing and supply end of the business. The awards honour members for their quality, service, professionalism, leadership and innovation when working together with a developer, builder or renovator on delivering a new home or renovation project.

These awards are special because nominees are evaluated by their clients as opposed to a judging panel.

David W. Small Designs Inc. was selected as 2012 Service Professional of the Year for the company's commitment to professionalism and attentiveness. The architectural design firm received a consistent stream of comments from its former clients, all praising it as professional approach to dealing with clients.

The 2012 Trade Contractor of the Year award was bestowed upon N. De Luca Plumbing (1995) Inc., a plumbing company based out of the City of Vaughan. The company has a loyal client base, with one particular client proudly declaring their relationship has lasted last three decades and counting.

The final award of the day, the Manufacturer / Supplier of the Year, was presented to Sun-Brite Drapery. Quality and service were highly praised by the winner's clients, who described Sun-Brite as a "great company with outstanding people."

"On behalf of the entire membership, I would like to congratulate the winners and thank you for representing the industry and the Association with great leadership and professionalism this year," said BILD President and CEO Bryan Tuckey.

"Our associate members represent a vital part of the building and development process, and this recognition is important."

With more than 1,375 members, BILD, formed through the merger of the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association and Urban Development Institute/Ontario, is the voice of the land development, home building and professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area.  BILD is proudly affiliated with the Ontario and Canadian Home Builders' Associations.
