TORONTO , Nov. 23 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills will meet to consider Bill 14, An Act to deem that the Building Code and the Fire Code require fire detectors, interconnected fire alarms and non-combustible fire escapes.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 .

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 14 should contact the Committee Clerk by 12:00 noon on Friday, November 27, 2009 .

Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the Bill may send written submissions to the Committee Clerk at the address below by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 .
