TORONTO, May 1, 2014 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on Social Policy will meet to consider Bill 166, An Act to amend the City of Toronto Act, 2006 to allow the City of Toronto to pass a ranked ballot by-law for city council elections.
The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 166 should contact the Clerk of the Committee by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014. Presentations will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the bill may send written submissions to the Clerk of the Committee at the address below by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
