TORONTO , Oct. 26 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on General Government will meet to consider Bill 185, An Act to amend the Environmental Protection Act with respect to greenhouse gas emissions trading and other economic and financial instruments and market-based approaches.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings on Monday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Toronto .

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 185 should contact the Committee Clerk by 12:00 noon on Friday, October 30, 2009 .

Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the Bill may send written submissions to the Committee Clerk at the address below by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 .
