OTTAWA, Nov. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - BioNova and BioTalent Canada today announced the creation of a new partnership providing access to new and valuable services for life sciences businesses throughout Nova-Scotia.
The newly forged alliance allows BioNova members to access BioTalent Canada's many products and services, in particular, Canada's only national, bilingual biotechnology job board, "The PetriDishTM."
"Organizations in Nova-Scotia's bio-economy are looking to attract capital and investment; both of which require solid HR practices" says Rob Henderson, President of BioTalent Canada. "Our research shows a strong team is equally important to a strong product, so we need to make sure we're connecting employers with the right talent."
BioNova also sees great advantages in the partnership. "Providing our members with HR tools and services is part of our commitment to help enable them to grow and prosper" says Marli MacNeil, Chief Executive Officer of BioNova. "Having a strong team with the right skills and talents helps lead innovation and research to market, thus contributing to the overall Nova-Scotia economy."
The partnership follows the recent launch of BioTalent Canada's new website - biotalent.ca. With over 250,000 downloads of products and services annually, the website provides critical HR tools to biotech companies, small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, strengthening Canada as a bio-economy leader.
