Bird Construction Income Fund Announces a $54 million contract with Shell

TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - Bird Construction Income Fund announced that a subsidiary of the Fund has been awarded a $54 million fixed price construction contract with Shell Canada Energy. Early construction work of approximately $5.0 million has been performed in prior periods and accordingly, the addition to the Fund's backlog is approximately $49.0 million. Construction of the project which consists of a truck shop, warehouse and an administrative facility has commenced and is expected to be completed in mid-2011.
