PREFERRED PROPONENT TEAM FOR THE THUNDER BAY CONSOLIDATED COURTHOUSE PROJECT

TORONTO, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - Bird Construction Income Fund announced today that an operating subsidiary of the Fund is part of the consortium that has recently been selected as the preferred proponent to design and build the Thunder Bay Consolidated Courthouse project. Bird is a member of the Plenary Justice consortium responsible for the design, build, finance and maintenance of the courthouse located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Bird's role relates to the design and construction of the facility. The consortium plans to reach financial close in the fall of 2010 and commence construction early in 2011. At this time there can be no assurances that Bird will receive a contract award related to this project.
