Bird Construction Income Fund announces its selection as the preferred
proponent for the Ontario Provincial Police Modernization Project

TORONTO, July 27 /CNW/ - Bird Construction Income Fund (the "Fund") announced today that an operating subsidiary of the Fund is part of the consortium that has recently been selected as the preferred proponent to design and build the Ontario Provincial Police Modernization project. Bird is a member of the Shield Infrastructure Group consortium responsible for the design, build, finance and maintenance of 18 facilities located throughout Ontario. Bird's role relates to the design and construction of the facilities. The consortium plans to reach financial close in the summer of 2010 and commence construction shortly thereafter. At this time there can be no assurances that Bird will receive a contract award related to this project.
