SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 27, 2017 /CNW/ -- The top cryptocurrency exchange in the world Bithumb (CEO: Dae-shik Kim) participated in G-Star 2017 which was held from November 16th to the 19th at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (BEXCO). G-Star is an annual trade show for the computer and video games industry, where Bithumb offered different promotions aiming to target prospective customers.
Bithumb set up a booth in the exhibition area outside BEXCO welcoming guests and providing them with a gold coin when they completed their new member registration by scanning the QR code on the event banner inside the Bithumb booth.
Customers were able to submit the gold coin to the 'Gift Zone' in exchange for a free cup of coffee. In addition, they also had the chance to participate in a roulette event, where one can win various prizes such as a portable mobile charger, a vinyl drawstring bag, or a coin-shaped hot pack. Existing Bithumb members were given 'Vita 500' drinks by simply confirming their membership at the information desk.
"We set up this event both to communicate directly with customers and to reform the general idea that cryptocurrency is difficult to use," said a spokesperson from Bithumb. "We wanted to provide customers with a fun experience through various promotions as well as explain proper investing methods for cryptocurrency."
As the largest cryptocurrency exchange occupying over 70% of the domestic market, Bithumb also continually ranks in the top 3 in the global market.
