Black Creek Historic Brewery: Taste unique beers at Ontario's only working historic brewery
TORONTO, May 15, 2014 /CNW/ - Black Creek Historic Brewery, the only working historic brewery in Ontario, today announced a lineup of unique limited edition specialty ales planned for the 2014 season, available only at the Brewery located at Black Creek Pioneer Village (BCPV).
"Most of the beers in our 2014 lineup are seasonal favourites! This year we are introducing three new ales, Ginger Beer, Simcoe Hopped Ale and Barrel Aged Beer," said Ed Koren, Brewmaster, Black Creek Historic Brewery. "Most of our ingredients are locally sourced and we use no artificial additives or preservatives. This allows us to be creative with new recipes and experiment with unusual flavours. You can enjoy samples of our authentic Black Creek Historic Brewery ales here at our pub or pick-up a growler of ale to enjoy at home."
Black Creek Historic Brewery beers are sold in 64oz growlers. They cost $18, which includes the tax and a $4 refundable deposit for the growler. The growlers are available for sale in the Black Creek Historic Brewery.

About Black Creek Historic Brewery
Located in Black Creek Pioneer Village, the Black Creek Historic Brewery is a working recreation of a 19th century brewery, an era when beer was both a popular beverage and a staple food. Using only period equipment and no electricity, the Brewery handcrafts the same ale varieties enjoyed in Ontario before Confederation. Open daily to the public, visitors can chat with the Brewmaster in costume or join guided tours and taste samples drawn from oak barrels. The beer can be enjoyed on the premises at the Black Creek Historic Brewery, or brought home in returnable "growlers." Black Creek Historic Brewery is a member of the Ontario Craft Brewers and is operated by Black Creek Pioneer Village in partnership with Pioneer Breweries Limited.
