BLG's annual thought leadership report is now available
TORONTO, Jan. 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to release its annual thought leadership report, forecasting its top 10 legal risks for business in 2016. The Canadian business community can now better appreciate the key trends and regulatory changes that will have legal implications in the year ahead by visiting www.blg.com/top10 and downloading the publication.
BLG cites navigating new climate change regulations as a key challenge for Canadian businesses in 2016. Other issues identified this year notably include fraud in e-payment systems, securities regulation, "poison pills", privacy class actions and cybersex in the workplace. The Top 10 list was developed by BLG's senior partners and subject matter experts across the firm.
"We partner with our clients to assess the impact and to mitigate the risk of these legal considerations in a wide range of industry sectors," stated Sean Weir, national managing partner and CEO of BLG. "We best deliver value by advising our clients on business opportunities that may arise from these complex and evolving trends."
To enhance awareness about these issues, a seminar for internal counsel will be hosted on March 10 in Toronto, highlighting selected topics from the report.
