To kick-off our biggest summer yet, Blue Mountain has introduced four new exciting attractions and adventures for the 2012 summer - Timber Challenge High Ropes, Woodlot Low Ropes, Cascade Putting Course and Mountaintop Segway Tours. The Resort is also excited to announce that Blue Mountain is partnering with Earth Rangers, as they bring their animal ambassadors to Blue Mountain every weekend throughout the summer.
Known as Ontario's largest winter playground, the Resort has evolved into a true four-season destination. "Our goal is to provide adventure, excitement and variety to guests year-round," said Dan Skelton, President and Chief Operating Officer, Blue Mountain Resort. "The Resort has incorporated a number of attractions into its beautiful, natural setting to provide the ultimate outdoor recreation playground for all ages and ability levels. Blue Mountain now boasts more than 20 different green-season activities, including Ontario's first and only Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, Plunge! Aquatic Centre, Climbing Wall, Monterra Golf and Tennis, Private Beach along the shores of Georgian Bay, Dockside Activities, Hiking, Open-Air Gondola, and Mountain Bike Park among other activities. In addition to on-site attractions, Activity Central offers convenient access to activities throughout the region, such as Hummer Tours, Kayaking and Caving experiences.

Timber Challenge High Ropes
The new Timber Challenge High Ropes course at Blue Mountain is the ultimate aerial adventure. Situated in the heart of the Niagara Escarpment forest, we set the thrill meter to HIGH with this attraction! Guests are suspended on a harness and guide line and are challenged by more than 75 elements including suspension bridges, ladders, cargo nets and zip lines. Features on the Timber Challenge reach 60 feet high and range in difficulty, with 7 different courses at three different progression levels (Green, Blue and Black). For guests daring enough to make it to the Black course, the main element is a 40 foot auto belay drop called TRUBLUE that is sure to push your limits. Timber Challenge is open to guests 10 years of age and older (some conditions apply).
Woodlot Low Ropes
Woodlot Low Ropes provides a fun and exciting aerial challenge for families, friends and kids looking to test their limits. With three progressive courses, featuring 25 different elements 2-20 feet above ground, including suspended logs, beams, ropes, cables and cargo nets, the Woodlot is the perfect activity to get a taste for adventure. The Woodlot is self-guided and guests remain attached to cables at all times on a continuous belay system. Woodlot is open to guests 6 years of age and older (some conditions apply).
Mountaintop Segway Tours
Wind your way through wooded trails a top the Niagara Escarpment on a state of the art 2-wheeled Segway transportation device. This guided off-road tour is a unique way to explore the peak of the mountain, while overlooking the majestic Georgian Bay region and the Blue Mountain Village. Share the adventure with your friends, family or group during your next visit to Blue Mountain. Segway tours are available to guests 16 years of age and older (some conditions apply).
Cascade Putting Course
This scenic, 18-hole, par-67 Putting Course winds along the base of the Smart Alec ski run and will put your putting skills to the test! Featuring a natural limestone backdrop and cascading landscapes, it's sure to provide lasting memories for all ages. The Cascade Putting Course is more than your average mini-putt, as it resembles a golf course on a smaller scale featuring fairways, bunkers and water features.
Earth Rangers Wild Encounters at Blue
Get up-close and personal with some amazing creatures as animal ambassadors bring out the wild side at Blue Mountain Resort. These educational sessions are hosted by a professional trainer, who provides a hands-on learning experience. The program runs every Saturday and Sunday (& holiday Mondays) throughout the summer.
