Bomb Girls Ali Liebert hosts sold out event featuring performances by Gordon Lightfoot and Oliver Pigott

TORONTO, Nov. 30, 2012 /CNW/ - Actress Ali Liebert (Bomb Girls, Hellcats) will host a special fundraising event at Glenn Gould Studio on Tuesday evening in support of Renascent Foundation. Walk You To The Water: An Evening to Inspire will feature performances by Canadian folk icon Gordon Lightfoot and 2008 Canadian Idol Finalist Oliver Pigott.

"I'm excited to help in any way I can to support Renascent," says Liebert. "Tuesday is going to be a special night, a Canadian Icon and a Canadian Idol on the same ticket!"

Special guest, award winning comedian and performer, Dave Broadfoot will introduce Gordon Lightfoot at the event. The evening also includes a tribute to Rena Scheffer, a Senior Director at Renascent and integral to the team that planned the event. She died in a tragic car accident on November 5^th.

"This evening will hold a special significance for many of us," said Dr. Patrick Smith, Renascent CEO. "We will honour Rena's memory, her life, and her commitment to our shared values - to safeguarding access to the kind of treatment that helps others reclaim their life."

All costs for the event were underwritten by evening's presenting sponsor UA Local 46 and additional sponsorships by LiUNA Local 506, IOUE Local 793, The Drabble Private Client Group and The Printing House Charitable Office.

Liebert co-stars with Meg Tilly and Jodi Balfour in the original hit series Bomb Girls. Bomb Girls season 2 begins Wednesday, January 2 on Global TV.
