Bonaventure Expressway: Complete Closure in the West direction (downtown)
from August 6 to 9 at Exit 2
LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to announce the complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway in the West direction (towards Downtown Montreal) at Pierre-Dupuy Avenue (Exit 2) from Friday August 6, 11 PM, to Monday, August 9, 5 AM (Scenario B). Please note that two out of three lanes will be closed at 10 PM on Friday August 6.
Note that construction will take place during L'International des Feux Loto-Quebec on Saturday, August 7 and traffic may be heavier in the direction of downtown Montreal at the start of the Bonaventure Expressway.
Exceptionally, Pierre-Dupuy Avenue will be open under the Bonaventure Expressway during construction from 8 PM to midnight, to allow motorists to leave L'Île-Ste-Hélène by de la Concorde Bridge and proceed to the Bonaventure Expressway towards the South Shore.
However, it is important to note that paving work will be taking place on the Champlain Bridge towards the South Shore during this period. Two lanes will be open in each direction, until midnight. At midnight, however, only one lane will be open on the Champlain Bridge southbound and two northbound lanes.
Detour roads have been planned for traffic in the construction area. Please consult our map (http://bit.ly/bplZzT) for the different closing scenarios.
Details of Scenario B: ---------------------- Complete closure of the Bonaventure Expressway going west (Downtown Montreal) at Exit 2 including: 1. Closing of the Mill St. on ramp (east side) 2. Complete closure of Pierre-Dupuy Ave. under the Bonaventure Expressway, except on Saturday, August 7 from 8 PM to midnight 3. Closing of one out of two lanes on Pierre-Dupuy Ave. going south and on Des Irlandais Street going north
