Bonaventure Expressway: Complete night closure of the Bonaventure Expressway from October 17 to 18, 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 15, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is advising road users that the Bonaventure Expressway will be completely closed during the night of October 17 to 18, after rush hour. The Champlain Bridge bound lanes, at Notre-Dame Street, will be closed as of 9:00 p.m., while the downtown bound lanes will be closed from Exit 2 (Pierre-Dupuy Avenue) as of 7:30 p.m.
We invite you to follow the detour signs that will be set up along the route.
This complete closure is required to prepare the worksite for the fourth phase of the box girder repair project taking place on the federal section of the Bonaventure Expressway at the Lachine Canal.
During this final phase, two lanes will be kept open in each direction. It is important to note that the Pierre-Dupuy exit ramp (Exit 2) from the Champlain Bridge bound lanes of the Bonaventure Expressway will be completely closed during this phase. This work phase will last approximately 50 days.
This major, four-phase construction project will be completed in late November. Press releases will be sent to inform the population of the various changes in lane configuration.
Note that this work may be postponed depending on weather conditions. To follow the work in progress, road users are encouraged to visit www.champlainbridge.ca.
