Bonaventure Expressway (Federal section) : Complete closure towards Champlain Bridge and night closures towards Montreal for the weekend of November 1st and 2, 2014 Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 29, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (PJCCI) wishes to inform road users that the Bonaventure Expressway towards Champlain Bridge will be completely closed and towards Montreal there will be night closures fromFriday, October 31 at 10 p.m. until Monday, November 3 at 5 a.m. in order for work crews to carry out paving operations and to install a membrane on that section of the expressway.
PJCCI would like to remind that these closures will allow construction crews to continue intensive repair works on the federal section of the highway overlooking the Peel Basin.
Information about the closure TOWARDS CHAMPLAIN BRIDGE
- Bonaventure Expressway > Champlain Bridge direction >COMPLETELY CLOSED section from Notre-Dame to Carrie-Derrick
- Bonaventure Expressway > Champlain Bridge direction > access ramp from Notre-Dameclosed
- Bonaventure Expressway > Champlain Bridge direction > access ramp from Nazareth closed
- Bonaventure Expressway > Champlain Bridge direction > Access ramp from A-720 Westclosed
Two detour roads have been set up for commuters going to Champlain Bridge coming from University or A-720.
Information about the closure TOWARDS MONTREAL (Night closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Bonaventure Expressway > downtown Montreal direction >COMPLETELY CLOSED from exit 2 to downtown Montreal
- Bonaventure Expressway > downtown Montreal Direction > access ramp from Chemin des Moulins East closed
- Bonaventure Expressway > downtown Montreal Direction > access ramp from Chemin des Moulins West closed
- Bonaventure Expressway > Pierre-Dupuy Avenue between Chemin des Moulins East and West closed
Two detour roads have been set up for commuters coming from Exit 2 and to Champlain Bridge from Pierre-Dupuy.
Traffic will be heavy and commuters are advised to avoid this sector.
