BONE Structure® winner of two Dunamis awards in 2014 - Sustainable Development, Ecocitizenship and Service Company
LAVAL, QC, March 28, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - BONE Structure® is the winner of the prestigious Dunamis Award in two categories "Sustainable Development, Ecocitizenship" and "Service Company", awarded by the Chamber of commerce and industry of Laval. More than 500 people from the business community met at the Château Royal on March 26 for the 33nd Dunamis Gala.
The mayor of Laval, Mr. Marc Demers, presented the "Sustainable Development, Ecocitizenship" award to Marc Bovet, President of BONE Structure. The patented technology of BONE Structure light steel construction assembles as easy as a Meccano® kit with one tool. It has a building frame made of recycled steel that requires no bearing wall and allows doors and windows from floor to ceiling, sculptural stairs and a building envelope with a multitude of high quality interior and exterior finishes. The system also avoids the waste of time and materials, since there is no cutting on site and therefore no waste. Its thermal envelope exceeds the standards of energetic eco-efficiency and responds to the lack of specialized labor issues, here and elsewhere. The BONE Structure innovative concept disrupts traditional construction methods across Canada and attracts the attention of real estate developers around the world.
The second award, presented to BONE Structure in the "Service Company" category, was handed out by Mr. Guy Charron, Executive VP of Cominar. BONE Structure employs more than 40 professionals, architects, engineers, technologists, designers and planners who work together sharing the same corporate culture defined by the values of Respect, Transparency, Loyalty, Safety and Fun. The company stands out by its accuracy and its attention to details expressed in the slogan "Perfection is in our bones."
Mr. Bovet thanked the Mayor and Mr. Charron. He also talked about the importance of design and innovation in every business, seeing them as key elements capable of opening the international market to products and services, through exportation.
About BONE Structure
BONE Structure was created in 2005 from the desire of its founding president, Marc-André Bovet, to "Change the world of habitation, and change habitation through the world" by revolutionizing traditional residential and commercial construction methods. He surrounded himself with experts (engineers, architects, industrial and interior designers, technologists, and urban planners) and listened to what his clients told him about their experiences. Then, he designed a system that eliminates the shortcomings of residential construction. In addition to being environmentally friendly and energy efficient, the BONE Structure system gives free rein to clients' and architects' creativity by making it easy to form vast spaces with variable volumes and grandiose fenestration. BONE Structure promotes the development of local economies, this is why the company works with builders across Canada that share the same company values and sustain jobs creation across Canada. BONE Structure is not a modular or traditional prefabricated construction system, but a technology inspired by the automobile and aerospace industries, by the materials used – steel and other composites. The technology allows for quick assembly of buildings such as houses, condos up to four stories high, restaurants, car washes and other applications.
