Boston Pizza Brings Back its 27th Annual Heart-Shaped Pizza Campaign
Proceeds from this year's fundraising campaign will support charities in local communities across Canada
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 14, 2019 /CNW/ - Spread love to your local communities this Valentine's Day, with Boston Pizza's 27th annual heart-shaped pizza fundraising campaign. One dollar from every pizza sold today, including popular heart-shaped pizzas, will support a local charity chosen by individual Boston Pizza stores across Canada.
"Since 1980, we have celebrated Valentine's Day with heart-shaped pizzas, and it has become a tradition for many of our guests," says Michelle Schepel, Executive Director of Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects. "With almost 400 stores coast to coast, we recognize each store has a special connection to registered charities operating within their local communities. Thanks to our guests, locally owned and operated Boston Pizza stores and their franchisees, 100% of the funds raised through this year's campaign will benefit hundreds of charities chosen by individual stores."
To further support their local communities, guests can make an additional minimum donation of $2 by purchasing a Boston Pizza Paper Heart or the limited-edition Future Prospects Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake, available until March 31st.
Heart-shaped pizzas are available in small and medium size, excluding thin crust. They can be ordered for dine-in, take-out or delivery in any of Boston Pizza's gourmet and create-your-own pizza varieties. Boston Pizza expects to serve more than 60,000 heart-shaped pizzas on Valentine's Day this year for guests to enjoy celebrating their loved ones.
