WINCHESTER, ON, May 30, 2013 /CNW/ - Botaneco Corp. (the "Company") (TSXV: BOT) reports that the revenue of $750,039 was recorded for the three months ended March 31, 2013 representing an increase of $103,809 (16%) over the same period of the prior year. These increased revenues are primarily attributable to the sales generated by Natunola of $625,480.
A net income of $292,214 was recorded for the three months ended March 31, 2013, as compared to a net loss of $852,417 for the same period of the previous year, an increase of $1,144,631. This gain was attributable to: (a) an increase in revenues and gross profit due to the sales of Natunola; and (b) the gain of $633,646 in the sale of discontinued operations as disclosed in a previous press release dated March 28th 2013.
Basic and diluted income per share was $0.004 for the three months ended March 31, 2013 compared to a loss of $0.010 per share seen in the previous year.
