MARKHAM, ON, Oct. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Combined September sales of 18,181 units by the Honda and Acura divisions of Honda Canada Inc. represented a 3% increase over last year's sales and a new September record. The Honda Automobile division also reported a new September record on sales of 16,143 units, up 3% over last year. The Acura division reported September sales of 2,038 units, up 3% over last year.
"Modest Honda gains in September can be attributed to truck growth, as strong demand pushed both CR-V and Pilot to monthly sales records," said Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada Inc. "We're excited to see how the launch of the redesigned 2018 Accord contributes to sales growth when it launches in Canada later this fall."
"Appealing to performance-oriented buyers, the refreshed and enhanced TLX luxury sedan drove Acura to conservative September gains," add Leclerc.
