Government of Canada awards $250,000 in financial assistance to Brasserie 11 comtés in the Estrie region to build new brewery facilities
COOKSHIRE-EATON, QC, Sept. 15, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
By investing in the increased production capacity of enterprises, the Government of Canada is standing by its commitments and helping businesses expand, innovate and export their products so that they can create high-quality jobs and ensure the success of Canada's economy."
The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, announced that Brasserie 11 comtés has been granted $250,000 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution, to increase its production capacity and meet growing demand for its products.
Brasserie 11 comtés was founded in 2015 for the industrial manufacture of beer that has been brewed since 2007 by the Coopérative brassicole de l'Autre Monde, better known as Boquébière. The funding awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) will help Brasserie 11 comtés acquire more production equipment for its new plant, which will be built in Cookshire-Eaton. The project also includes the purchase of kegs and quality control equipment.
The business will generate four short-term jobs and plans to add another 10 in the next two years, in addition to those created during the construction of the brewery facilities. The project will also be contributing to the economic diversification of the Haut-Saint-François RCM.
