Brazilian Cat® dealers Pesa and Sotreq partner with Ritchie Bros. for multi-day equipment sale
People from 23 countries buy 70+ Cat® items offered on Ritchie Bros.' Marketplace-E
BREDA, The Netherlands, Sept. 12, 2018 /CNW/ - This August, Brazilian Cat® dealers Pesa and Sotreq teamed up with Ritchie Bros. to sell a large number of equipment items through Ritchie Bros.' new online sales solution, Marketplace-E. The multi-day sale attracted bidders from 23 countries, all hoping for the chance to get a good deal on late model Cat excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, dozers, soil stabilizers, rollers and more. The sales event closed on August 25 with two onsite events at Pesa and Sotreq locations in Curitiba and Sumaré, Brazil.
Launched in late 2017, Ritchie Bros.' Marketplace-E is an online solution designed to offer sellers more control over the selling price and process, with 'Make Offer' and 'Buy Now' options. Equipment items are inspected ahead of time, offered with the company's IronClad Assurance®, and sold from the owner's premises (if requested). The items offered in the Brazilian Cat® Dealer Sale attracted 1,440+ bids by people from Brazil, USA, Colombia, The Netherlands, Spain, Australia, the UAE and many other countries.
"We experienced a great partnership between Pesa, Cat Finance, Ritchie Bros. and Sotreq, turning this into one of our biggest equipment events in Latin America," said Felipe Ongaro, Manager, Rental & Used Equipment, Grupo Sotreq. "We received many bids from people in Brazil and abroad. The innovative features of Ritchie Bros.' Marketplace-E platform allowed us to take greater control of the sale of our items."
