British Columbia Construction Association Welcomes Federal Government Northern Gateway Decision
VICTORIA, June 17, 2014 /CNW/ - The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) supports the decision by the Government of Canada to approve the Northern Gateway Pipeline project.
"Natural resource development is central to a prosperous and competitive province and projects like Northern Gateway promise to play a vital role in the growth of our economy. More importantly, they will provide improved employment opportunities and enhanced training resources to our membership across Northern BC," said Manley McLachlan, President of the British Columbia Construction Association.
The British Columbia Construction Association (BCCA) is an employer-based construction association. Together, the BCCA and its four regional associations represent more than 2000 businesses active in the industrial, commercial, institutional and multi-family residential construction industry. Membership services include educational programs, employee benefits programs, technology tools for bid and project management (BidCentral), employment and recruitment programs (Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP) and Foreign Skilled Workers BC), as well as advocacy to ensure British Columbia's construction sector remains strong.
