/CNW/ - Western Coal Corp. (TSX: WTN, WTN.DB & WTN.WT and AIM: WTN) ("Western") announces the British Columbia Court of Appeal ("Court") has rendered a decision on the Company's royalty dispute with two former directors and officers of the Company. The Court has granted the Company's appeal, in part. The effect of the decision is to reduce the rate of royalty payable by 40%. Further information on the royalty dispute can be found in the Company's fiscal Q3-2010 financial statements, footnote 15 (a), which is available on SEDAR or the Company's website.
The parties have sixty (60) days to apply for leave to appeal this decision to the Supreme Court of
Canada
. The Company is still in the process of reviewing the Court's decision and determining whether it will seek leave to appeal this decision.
